Outrage as Orange Hall is burned in fresh attack

A Co. Tyrone Orange Hall has been attacked and burned for the seventh time in five years by intolerant elements in the nationalist community. The hall at Donaghmore, near Dungannon, was undergoing renovations following the last attack in May 1999 and had yet to be re-opened.The latest fire was discovered at 5-00am, 5th August 2000, but the fire had taken hold and the premises were substantially damaged. One member of the lodge who was a past Master said “We have been shocked by this.We are a quiet, country lodge and we don't set out to annoy or offend anyone”.
In the last attack in May 1999, arsonists used a flammable liquid to accelerate the spread of the fire
